Yeah, medicines for mental issues are always iffy. I knew someone who took antidepressants and they said it made them very numb and apathetic. Almost like in a coma. Then who knows what all the side effects are. I'd much rather try just going to counseling before adding on a medication. Yet, you gotta do whatever your doctor says is right for you.
I hope you get through this and that the medicine doesn't cause you problems.
I am almost undeniably sure that I underwent some pretty serious depression this year, but I managed to ride it out after some extreme self-psychoanalysis. I basically reformulated my own life and my own way of handling situations. It's too bad someone picked up on your own condition; I too would be wary of the medication, because I have frequently heard that it can make the problem worse.
And maybe you should lay off of that steak and gingerale for a while.

I've been on antidepressants for a couple years now...
they really do help, once you find out which kind is right for you...
I'm on 150 mg lamictal
I went through about 6 types before I found the right one
Be sure to tell your councilor exactly how the meds make you feel

I'll change it. By the time you read this, it will most likely be reset.

Do not resist; assimilation is imminent.
